August Book Flight: Being A Fan

What is a ‘book flight’? If you’ve heard of a wine flight, it’s the same idea - a set of books that I think would enhance each other when read together. 

One of the characteristics I like most in a person is ‘committing to the bit’, or going all-in on something they enjoy. A pal of mine described one of the best teachers I ever had, my GCSE English teacher (i.e. she taught me for two years between 14 and 16), like this: “in her classes, you’re not embarrassed to look keen, because she makes everyone keen.”
