Cough, Cough, Cough
The Seven-Month Change My Life Challenge, Week 12
The wheels well and truly fell off this week. Last week, I said my legs were aching more than I’d have expected from my running volume. Turns out, that was the first sign of the bout of Covid that had me stuck in bed for most of the week.
Let’s not even talk about my screen time (please).
Instead, a few heroes of my time stuck in bed:
The can of Ambrosia Rice Pudding I found at the back of my kitchen cupboard. After a day of zero appetite, I heated it up and put the last of the raspberry jam on it. Incredible healing energy.
Apple & Blackcurrant squash, made up with hot water, and with a spoon of honey stirred into it.
Wool socks. Trust me - when you’re feverish, and your temperature is jumping all over the place, keeping your feet cosy makes such a difference. I love my Darn Tough socks. (especially glamorous when worn with pyjama shorts and a damp washcloth held over one’s fevered brow…)
Stay well, everyone… I’m off to see about getting my flu jab.
Lily
