For me, summer reading is all about languid days, when the daylight goes on forever, and it’s warm enough to lie out in the grass reading for hours on end. It’s about books I can open at the start of a weekend and completely devour over the course of a few days, before emerging full of joy, hope, and love.
I have a special place in my heart for a subset of the romance genre which I’d call ‘historical swooning.’
