Welcome to this week’s roundup of three things I’ve been enjoying!
📕 The Paris Novel - Ruth Reichl. I was a big fan of Reichl’s previous novel, Delicious!, so when I heard she had a new book out this year - set in Paris - I was ready to beg for a copy. Luckily, the NetGalley gods (i.e., Reichl’s publishing team at Magpie) answered, and I was lucky enough to get an advance review copy. Pals, I devoured it. The most exquisite food writing, all wrapped up in a story about living one’s life to the fullest. I’d recommend to fans of The Women in Black and Mrs Harris Goes To Paris - both of which have absolutely wonderful film adaptations too (ad, affiliate links)
🧊 Caffé Nero Iced Velvet Americano. I’m finally, tentatively, going to say it’s iced coffee season. Caffé Nero have, as they’re great at doing, launched a new
drink right in time - it’s similar to a ‘Greek style frappe’ and then with a dash of honey (or vanilla) in. Plus, when you order it to drink in the cafe, you get it in a lovely tall drinking glass. Gorgeous.
🎶 “i cry a lot but i am so productive” playlist. I am loving this Spotify playlist, which pulls together the The Tortured Poets Department songs with this energy together with similar-vibed tracks from previous albums, plus the likes of Billy Joel’s Vienna and Lorde’s Supercut.
