Welcome to this week’s roundup of three things I’ve been enjoying!
📚 Probably Nothing - Lauren Bravo*. (*Ad - Amazon affiliate link) What would you do if you’d been on a few dates with someone, they passed away suddenly, and their family seemed to believe you were in a serious relationship? This novel from Lauren Bravo is fantastic - really observant of some of the odd ways we humans behave and with an incredibly rich cast of characters.
🎶 willow (90’s trend remix) - Taylor Swift. This extra from evermore showed up in my Spotify recommendations this week and I have no idea how I hadn’t heard it before. It’s a vibe.
🍄🟫 Mushroom and Mangetout noodles. This is a recipe from Nigella Lawson’s book How To Eat* which I cooked up for Wednesday night’s dinner - and then had the second half of for lunch on Thursday. It was just as delicious cold from the fridge as it had been hot and fresh. I used the recipe as a starting point but went a little maverick on quantities, cooking an entire pack each of chestnut mushrooms and mange tout (you could use sugar snap peas instead if you like), and two nests of noodles. (Served in my Emma Bridgewater Halloween pasta bowl)
