Welcome to this week’s roundup of three things I’ve been enjoying!
📕 Love Story* - Lindsey Kelk. (*ad - Amazon affiliate link). Lindsey Kelk is one of the doyennes of British rom-com writing, so I’m a little ashamed to admit how few of her books I’ve read. But when I saw a Kindle deal on this forced-proximity romance with a Taylor Swift song for a title and a plot involving a secret double life a bestselling romance author (manifesting? me?), I clicked buy immediately and dug into it very shortly afterwards. Fantastic.
💄 L’Oreal True Match Nude Tinted Serum*. This is an essay of a product name - it’s a light coverage foundation with some skincare benefits in it, and it’s been my best friend for a while now. I don’t do much makeup most days (eyeliner, mascara, and I’m out of the door) so a proper ‘full face’ would feel almost like stage make-up to me. This foundation allows me to get a bit of a glow going without feeling like a mask. Plus it’s so light in its coverage that I’ve been able to use the same shade all year around, regardless of how much time I’ve spent outside.
🛤️ Ticket to Ride: Europe*. I love a strategy-based competitive board game. I love trains. So of course I was going to love Ticket To Ride. You’re competing to build rail routes across Europe to achieve ‘tickets’ (route challenges) and try to have the longest continuous route on the map. It can get devious and require all your cunning, and it’s just plain fun.
